Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper is to serve as executive producer for the fifth live roadblock telecast supporting Stand Up To Cancer, airing September 9.

Cooper, who's the founder of the Charles J Cooper Patient Support Fund, lost his father to lung cancer in 2011. In a statement, the actor said 'No one is ever fully prepared to deal with the overwhelming and complex journey that comes with a cancer diagnosis. Stand Up To Cancer works tirelessly to support those at the forefront of the fight against cancer'.
